Remember the orange garland I made for my living room? It’s since been replaced with dried flowers, but I didn’t want to waste the dried oranges I had.
So instead, I cut off a strand and put one up in my kitchen, near my sink. With my white kitchen (that took forever to paint, ugh) and white walls, the oranges look amazing. So here’s a little snippet of my lonesome kitchen decor.
For the other garland strands, I smashed them up and sprinkled them into our compost. Hurray for zero-waste composting! That compost went into our lemon tree. Tip: Citrus clippings from leftover orange or lemon peels add back a lot of nutrients into your soil.
