Hello there.
I am still pregnant. Half of me is anxious to meet this kid already and the other half is anxious about labor and delivery. In other words, I am a ball of anxiety. But underneath it all, I can’t help but feel excited to see my family grow, to watch Russell become a dad, and to take care of a child. I am going to be a mother. Oy.
I’m combining my 36 and 37 week update in this post since this picture is from 36 weeks but I am writing this while I am at 37 weeks. I can’t believe that I have been pregnant for 9 months and that this baby will be coming ANY TIME.
Below is a summary of pregnancy this past couple of weeks.
Symptoms: | SO MANY Braxton Hicks contractions – enough to get a mom-to-be scared about birth. Also, tired all of a sudden. Oh and another also, I’ve been hungrier again. I think it’s because baby has dropped, leaving my belly plenty of space to eat. |
Cravings: | Salads. Candy and chocolate |
How’s baby? | At my 36 weeks growth scan, he was in position. He was head down, face facing my spine, and his little feet all up in my ribs. I love him so much. He’s like a perfect baby just waiting for the go ahead to come shooting out. At my 37 weeks check up, the doctor said he was measuring perfectly, and his heart rate was exactly what it should be. I couldn’t be any more thankful for such a healthy and relatively easy pregnancy. |
Baby is: | Size of a winter melon. At my 36 weeks growth scan, they estimated him at 6 lbs, 6 oz. Here’s to hoping he doesn’t go up to 10 lbs like his father. |
