Hello! Here’s a quick, somewhat messy update on a few things I’ve made for the home this holiday season.
Let’s start of with Christmas pillows. Because, I can’t help it. I’m always changing out the covers on our throw pillows and more often than not, I’m making new ones instead of reusing…oops. I’m trying to get better at reusing. The blue one is from last year but the red and beige ones are new.
I have more things to blog about other than just baby things, and here’s proof. We got a new chair for the living room and a new table! And while we’re talking about new things, we’re also in the process of installing new floors! Remember my post about our floor water leak? Well because of that, we got a chance at picking new flooring and we also decided to install it ourselves. And by “we” I mean Russell is doing all the installing, ha. Thanks Russ!
I love summer. I love how we get more sunlight in our living room when summer gets closer. And I like decorating my home to fit the season. I only did minor, little changes to our living room this summer but already it feels lighter and brighter. (more…)
Remember the orange garland I made for my living room? It’s since been replaced with dried flowers, but I didn’t want to waste the dried oranges I had.
So instead, I cut off a strand and put one up in my kitchen, near my sink. With my white kitchen (that took forever to paint, ugh) and white walls, the oranges look amazing. So here’s a little snippet of my lonesome kitchen decor. (more…)
Spring is my favorite season. I love the flowers and the greenery. It’s also the season Russ and I got married. When it hits April, I’ll just be swooning.
Since I’m all for cost-friendly home decor, I was determined not to spend a lot of money revamping our home for spring. It was a success. I had lots of dried flowers on hand. That is because any bouquets or foliage I got in the wintertime, I saved and dried in hopes that they’ll make it to spring. These flowers have just been chilling on my windowsills, hanging upside down, and drying. (more…)
