I haven’t updated this blog in a little while. And the longer I go not writing in it, the harder it is to get back into it. Scrolling through all my photos the past few months, I can see that there are a lot of gaps to fill. So without further ado, here is a quick – but long – bullet point photo dump.
I went on my first girls’ trip without Ari or Russell. I traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina! I went with a fellow mommy friend and it was one of our first trips without our kiddos.
I almost made it through blogmas however husband got sick on Christmas Eve so the next few days after that were spent watching movies in bed with him. Not much blog content there.
This also meant that our Christmas was spent at home with a sleeping Russell 🙁 We were able to get out for about an hour on Christmas morning and go on a short hike and to sit in the sun. But it was still a lovely Christmas. We had actually opened our presents to each other on December 23rd…we were too excited, ha. How are we adults about to have a kid? (more…)
In a bit of a somewhat spontaneous move, Russ and I booked tickets to Thailand. We won’t be leaving until September but we are so excited. We’re getting the travel fever after not being on a plane for more than six months and we wanted to go somewhere that was affordable, and hopefully somewhere we hadn’t been to before.
For husband and I’s anniversary trip, we decided to do a road trip. I’ve lived in California most of my life but I had yet to explore the part of California that is north of San Francisco and Sacramento. So we decided to do a leisure drive down the California coast for our trip!
Here was our map: Reno > Oroville > Redding > Redwood Forest > San Francisco > Monterrey > Big Sur > Santa Barbara > Orange County(more…)
On Friday, April 1st, Russ and I decided to go on a day trip to Lake Arrowhead. One of the perks of both working from home as freelancers is time flexibility. Of course, there are some downsides as well, but we’re trying to find more upsides so that we don’t get discouraged from all the work we’re doing.
One goal we’ve talked about is taking more day trips. Whether that’s to the beach, a lake, the mountains, etc., we want to take more weekdays off once in a while and just spend time together. Also, it doesn’t hurt that we live in a beautiful place where we get to explore different scenes and crowds easily.
